The 13th Breakfast Rounds are out, as is the 29th Willem C. Vis Moot.
Over two days, 22 teams met in 36 hearings, to prepare for the oral hearings of the real deal.
In an engaging final with the University of Hamburg, the Aarhus University prevailed. The Aarhus University receives the first Peter Mankowski Award for the prevailing team of the Breakfast Rounds, dedicated to the late Peter Mankowski, professor at the University of Hamburg. Congratulations on a commanding performance! Congratulations also to the deserving recipients of further awards, for best oralists of the general rounds and of the final hearing. You can find an overview on LinkedIn.
To all teams, coaches, arbitrators and Vis alumni at the University of Hamburg, thank you for being a part of the 13th Breakfast Rounds. We appreciate your support and commitment.
Finally, congratulations to all teams for fabulous efforts at the 29th Vis Moot. Three teams of the 13th Breakfast Rounds among the final four of the Vis Moot are a testament to the quality of hearings we were fortunate to observe at our practice moot. We hope to see many of you next time around.
Here, we close the 13th Breakfast Rounds, a student project, for mooties by mooties.

Congratulations to all participants and special thanks to all coaches, arbitrators, alumni and other supporters of the event for their efforts and dedication - you did a great job! We wish every team all the best for Virtual Vienna. Let’s moot!
We are very sorry to inform you that this year's Breakfast Rounds at the Faculty of Law at the University of Hamburg on 31 March 2020 have to be cancelled due to the developments concerning Covid-19. This step was necessary as our University and the Vis Moot Alumni Universität Hamburg e.V. always focus on the health and the safety of all participants of this event.
Even if we can't see each other on site this year, we are already looking forward to seeing you again in 2021 in Hamburg and celebrating the spirit and strength of the Willem C. Vis Moot. We wish all teams participating in the oral hearings good look - stay safe and healthy!
The Breakfast Rounds were a true success again!
This year the Vis Moot Court Alumni Universität Hamburg e.V. in cooperation with the CAM-CCBC celebrated together with 14 teams from all over the world the 10th anniversary of the Breakfast Rounds. On the morning of the 20th March 2018 we, the Vis Moot Court Alumni Association of the University of Hamburg, organized the 9th Breakfast Rounds.
Nine Vis Moot Teams from all over the world including India, Iran, Canada, Brazil and Germany took the chance of some extra rounds and some final feedback before heading to the finals in Vienna.
Complemented by a welcoming breakfast for all teams and arbitrators, two successful pleading rounds were held in the premises of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hamburg. We hope that all participating teams enjoyed the time in Hamburg and we would like to thank all teams for their participation. Furthermore, we would like to thank all supporting law professors, alumni and the team of the University of Hamburg for their help and dedication. We could not have organized such fantastic Breakfast Rounds without these helping hands.
After such great Breakfast Rounds this year, we are looking forward to organizing the 10th Breakfast Rounds next year!
